  • As far as possible, to tailor the objectives of the organisation and the individual employees to each other
  • To better exploit the human resources available
  • To create a working climate which prevents or reduces the risk of conflicts
  • To create increased motivation and involvement at all levels of the organisation
  • To work towards objective yardsticks regarding performance and development
  • To identify the link between results and activities, and the link between the activity and competence
